-AIR. C. K. WILSON AT TE KUITL
By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Te Kuti, October 17. .Air. C. K. Wilson, M.P., addressed a good audience last night. He dealt with the Government's policy and claimed that the party had fulfilled its pledges. He pointed to financial improvement, the freehold tenure, the Civil Service Board, and increases of salaries in various Departments, also to the extension of beneficent legislation in respect of pensions, indicating a progressive and liberal policy of the Massey Government. A vote, of thanks and confidence, and an amendment .of thanks only were proposed. Tho voting was fairly even, and the Mayor declared the motion carried.
THE MAIRSHEN SEAT. AVhangarei, Saturday. Th e candidature <rf Mr. E. C. Purdie is announced! for the Marsden electorate in Hie Opposition intfercst. He contested the seat against Mr. Mlander, tho sitting member, in, previous elections.
