THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Straits Settlements and Eust Indies, at 12.20 p.m. (Money orders close 11 a.m.) For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, via Suez, at 12,20 p.m. (Money orders close 11 a.m.) For Tasmania, via 'Wellington, at 12.20 p.m.

Correspondence for United Kingdom to bo sent by the long direct rou'ie, tdiould be posted as usual, and specially ■marked "via Monte Video."

The times for closing mails for places beyond the. Dominion are liable te alteration (curlier or later).
