CLOTHES FOR THE TROOPS.
DOMINION MILLS' LIMITATIONS. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Dunedin, Yesterday. Inquiries have been made 'here_ into the possibility of making khaki for cioUiing the Imperial troo*ps. _ Local opinion is that New Zealand will not undertake to do mudh, if anything, in that direction. One reason is v>h.at only four Drills at the most in the Dominion possess plant for weaving cloth, for limits and trousers, and Borne of the n.ills are now working full capacity. Kates of pay are also a factor, being higher in New Zealand than in other 'placed, where iohaki is made. Anotlhor iliflieuity is freight and other charges.
