When a. young mam named George Charbs Beynon appeared hefore the Magistrate's Court this afternoon, charged with being iHegallv on private premises at night, council for the defence made a statement suggesting that the sergeant who arrested Beynon had ikickcd him. This telle sergeant denied, stating that Beynon mad attempted to resist arreist and objected to being searohed.

Counsel said tilie matter was serious, and anight lead to a charge of assault being laid against the sergean'i. Inspector Hendry. "We can answer anything you bring." The "information was dismissed, and Inspector Hendny said anotlhor charge ■vould be brought against Beynon.
