NEW ZKALAXD CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph.--Per Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The New Zealand Golf Championship Meeting wa.s continued at Middlomore to-day in fine but windy weather. The greens were very fast, and upset the form of most of the players. A feature of the day was Duncan's line form of the morning and his failure in the afternoon, when the open championship seemed within his grasp. Clements' failure in the morning loHt him a chance of being champion. E. S..Douglas retained the title.
The first eight in the second qualifying rounds of the amateur championship, and the ,o'Rorke Inter-dub Challenge Vase, was also played. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP.
