Airmen's Daring Raid.

The German Maxima responded furiously, cutting tho steering-gear, which janibcd the rudder. A bullet passed through Marix's cap, and the wings were pierced in a dozen places. He safely returned to Antwerp, which he was ordered to leave the same evening. Meanwhile Grey and Sippe were unable to locate the hangars at Cologne, and bombarded the railway station, which was greatly damaged. The Cologne Gazette declares that "the raid was a daring act, which we must respect." Other papers state that when the aviator, who was exposed to shrapnel and rifle-fire, dived towards the shed bo suddenly, the spectators thought lie hail been hit.
