The Mount Lyell returns for the month ended September 30 show that 25,204 tons of ore were treated, producing G34 tons of copper, 36,358 ounces of silver, and 846 ounces of gold. WESTRALIAN ELECTIONS. Perth, Octovev Ift. Nominations for the Assembly have c'osed. Twelve Labor, one Liberal and one meniber of the Country Party were returned unopposed, leaving 36 seats to be contorted.
Tbe Labor (Party's principal issues are the abolition of the Council and the imposition of a progressive war tax.
