MONTHLY aHEETLYti. The ordinary monthly mooting of Hip Parihaika. itoad ]Joa.rd wan held at Riihol-u on Thursday laat. fremiti: Messrs Young (chairman). Green, ilickev. Cossie, Ifarveiyt, ami Jlolmes. The foreman reported that a numlh-a-of roads had been attended to. The hands were kept busy keeping the roads in repair. A good deal of draining work had bee® curried out. The members were of opinion ilhat the ranger was seldom in. the northern end. and that straying stock was «. nuisance. The lion rd decided to shorten 'the ami of the present, ranker so that the work could tie carried out. more advantageously. It was agreed to terminate the present agreement with ine ranker, and call applications for tlint portion' of tJie Board's district from the Oaonui river 'to the Puniho road. Tho foreman reported tflat the pipe moulds to be used in the dpunake .shed liad not been completed.. If the moulds are not to hand at once they are to lie obtained from another firm. Jt was resolved to <«.IJ for tenders, as suggested by tiho foreman, for K;l yards of hkinglc for the (Vpunake pipe 'making depof. 'Aft'. Jsurgci<-. of the, W-area mil I, wrote asking for a rebate on timber royalty during the time he was not. working.— The Board granted a rebate for three months. Tho Noxijiis Weeds Inspector's altentioil is to be ealled to the growth of gorse aiul idaekhcrry on tin' (;ip L . road, and other roads in the district. It was decided to take insurance rislks on tho Board's pipe-making silteds in Opunake and lUhotu.
