NORTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. ADJOURNED MEETING. An adjourned meeting of the Association was h«ld last night, Mr. Quilliam presiding. It was decid'ed that ft committee consisting of the Kcv. Chappell, Messrs I{. Quilliam and E. Lash bo appointed to ■revise the rules of the Association and report to a future meeting. • The proposed constitution of the New Plymouth Cricket Council was considered clause by clause, and, subject to cer'<tain amendments, was approved and adopted. ill'. Arthur Osborne was unanimouslv elec'.ed secretary of the Association. Mr. It. Quilliam advocated that meetings of the Association shiowld not be advertised, but it was pointed out that the rules would have to be altered, as they provided for advertising the meetings.
Mr. Stainton was elected treasurer in lieu of Mt. Nicoll,

A NHW CLUB FORMED.
A meeting to foster tho formation of a Thursdaiy team was held in the Town Hall last night, Mr. E. Whittle presiding.
The chairman slated that at one time 'cket was almost wholly played on Thursdays, the Association having been formed by those players. Ho intim.iteu' that generous ofl'ors of support had ba;n voluntarily made to, him, so that t'hjre was every prospect of success. It was decided to form a club of Thursday players, to bo called the I'hoenix Club.
The following officers were elected:--President, 'Mr. Newton King; vice-pre-sidents, .Messrs A, S, dtasell and F. iV. Robertson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Gwillim; caiptain, Mr. K. (Whittle; delegates to the Association, Messrs Whittle an<t Gwillim; delegate to the Cricket Councl, (Mr. <Gwil!im; committee, iMosi", Cozens, Vale, Gwillim, Connelly and Lraund; audition', <Mr. Vale. Jt was decided to nominate a teun for the Thursday competition. the delegate to I'lie New Plymouth Cricket Council was instructed' to a'jply for the practice area originally held by the C&rrington Road Clufo. The question of drawing up vulea was left to tho committee, also the appointment of a selection committee, and the election of members. *
it was understood thiit those present should use their best endeavors to secure members, reporting their names to the secretary.
At a meeting of the United Service Cricket Club held last night 'Mr. i ; was appointed secretary unit treasurer, vice. Mr. A. Osborne, wlio iia<! undertaken the secretaryship of the Cricket Association.
