Breeders' Plate.—Delmonte 1, Cetinne 2, Starland 3. Twenty-nine started. Delmonte assumed command on entering the atraiglit, and won in a close finish by a neck, third horse two lengths away. Squatters' Handicap.—Chid J, Willow Green 2, Firm 3. : Twelve starters. Won by half a length, a neck between second and third. Time, 2min 7%sec. Mil. E. J. WATT'S TRIPLE WIN. Received 0, 12.30 a.m. . Sydney, Octover .1. Delmonte s victory in the Breeders' Plate made Mr. E. J. Watt's third win in two days. ftleLachlan rode with fine judgment and fought- out a game finish. Mr. Watt paid 7«0 guineas for Delmonte at last Easier sales.
The stewards inflicted a fine of £5 on Manning, rider »f Tatterley, in the shorts, for allowing his mount to break at the barrier.
