At tho meeting of tho Executive Committee, held at Diocesan office, Auckland, ou th o 27th. July, 1914, the following weolutona was screed to: "Thai m it depends upon, tho number of people intunding to visit tho Bay of Islands tor OhiiiHtmas Day, 1»14, oa to whether or not satisfactory arrangements can be n.ade with the atcamsmjj companies, the' Bishops of the Province oe asked to arrange that the general secretary be isiiormod by tn« eml of Ottoiuw at the li.te.st of the numiber of people from their dioceses likely to make the visit, i.t being understood that such pi-ui are to bo heUl reopontfilblo for tha amount of their fare from Auckland. This is necessary, as the steamship companies will in all probability rwjuiro a guarantee form the Commission." In i'ccordain-e with the above resolution, the Bishop and Standing Committee, at a mooting held on Tuesday, SeptcmUj Sth, 1014, arranged that the peoplo of the Auckland diocese who intend making the trip should s«nd their names direct to the general secretary to the Coniuiiswion, tho Rev. W. 11. Wilson, tho Vicarage, St. Heller's liay, or c/o Diocesan Office, Auckland. The following resolutions wiire agreed to ait a meeting of tho Marsdcn Centenary Celebration Commission, held at the Diocesan office, Audkland, on Tuo*day, September Sth, 1914:—(1) That 'n consequunco of the changed crcumstances arising from the outbreak of war, the Commission, with great regret, fa uibligcid Ito abandon the proposed Church Congressj (2) That the special {Celebration Jloly Communion, at ithe Marsden Cross, on Christmas Dav, 1914. should be held as arrasged; (3) That special thansgivmg services Ibe oft'o.rod in every Chwch.
