ORANGE BLOSKOMS. GLESX-XANCARROW. On Thursday, in the Presbyterian Church, Hawera, Miss Gertrude ("Queemu") Glenn, youngest daughter of Airs. Glenn, Hawera, was united in the holy 'bonds of miatrmony 10 Frederick Hewitt Nancaxrow, eldest 6 on of Airs. Nancarrow, Wellington. Rev. J. R. S. Shaw performed the ceremony, and Mr. Treweek presided at the organ. Th o church was .prettily decorated by the bride's girl friends. It was. thought by all present to be one of the most charming weddings ever held ia Hawera, The bridegroom was supported 'by Mr. Frank 111. Moore (Xe.w Plymouth) as best man, and Mr. Arthur M. Thomson as groomsman. The bride, who was givi.n away by her brother, Mr. Jamc* Glenn (Oamaru) looked beautiful in a lovely duchess satin robe, with short pleated ninon tunic and full court train, lined with shell-pink ninon, on which was embroidered a true lovers' knot. From a chaplet of orango blossoms fell a. handsome hue veil, and she carried * lovely shower U/uquet of white roses and carnations, witli sprays of maidenhair fern. Ihcy carried dainty bouquets of pale .pink roses, with black velvet streamers. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a single string of reel pearls and earrings to match, and to the bridesmaids lovely solid silver purse-bags. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the 'bride's mother's residence, where the wedding breakfast was held. A large marquee was erected on the lawn, and in the centre of the table stood the three-tier wedding cake. Th-j floral decorations (masses of plum! (blossoms) were greatly admired. A quiet h it very pretty wedding took place t» Ve.tm-Mlay .ast at the residence of the bride's parents by the Rev. Mr Crillln. of Waitara, when Ada Hubv, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Old. of S.-ntry IJid, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Mr Harry IVreiva', son nf the late Mrs Levi Sarteu, of Tikorangi. The bride, who was given away by ii-jr father, looked charming in a dres3 of creme. radianta trimmed with silk insertion and lace, and a spray of orange blossom in her hair, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of Mayflower and Asparagus fern. She was attended by her ncice, Miss Alison Old, as bridesmaid, who was dressed in white muslin, and also carried a wreath of flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Leonard Jupp, of Tikorangi, as best'man. After the ceremony the guests, numbering between 30 and 40. partook of the breakfast, where the usual toasts were duly honored. The happy couple, who were the recipients of many useful and costly presents, including several cheques, left later in the evening for their future home at Tikorangi amid showers of confetti and good wishes. The bride's travelling dress was of a navy blue -e;.. tailor-made costume, with hat to match.

A very plmsiing event took place at Urenui on Wednesday afternoon when the 1 -lilies met at "K'gatiawa House," to bid gooiMi.Kj to -Mrs. Falconer, an old and much respected resident who is having the district for Nuv 'Plymouth. Afternoon tea, under the (-arable management of Mrs Kowe, was' much appicwated, after which, llr rt Tel far, sour., (the oldest resident in Cruuii), in a t*IW speech, presented Mrs. Falconer with a handsome, clock on belialf of ilie bdie.-i of the. district Mrs Fuller also made a very appropriate speech, in which she spoke, of the lady's sterline qualities. Mra Falconer very feelingly responded and regretted leaving so many kind frends. All joined in "Cod be with You," and '-(iod Save the King."
