Reports have been Teccived that British cruisers have destroyed the German Government wireless station at Yap, Caroline Islands, ilfter warning the operators the cruisers bombarded and •completely demolished the station, which was an important link in the German chain of communication with the Far East.
By the steamer Tasman it is learned that the Dutch in Java have made preparations to maintain neutrality. The troops have been mobilised and several warships placed in readiness. Ten big German steamers are sheltering in -Batavia.
