SOUTH ROAD FATALITY.
THE INQUEST. At the Courthouse, yesterday morning, before Mr. A. Oooke, S.M., the Ooroacr, an inquest was held concerning the death of C-edrie Jeffrey, youngest son of Mr. J. Cr. Russell, which occurred on Tuesday undeT circumstances already published. Detective-Sergeant Boddain ixainined the witnesses.
Evidence was given by the father and grandfather of deceased, also by his brother IJarold, with whom the unfortunate little child was playing in tlieir grandfather's yard. It appcttTed that Harold was in the act of closing a heavy sliding door, which must have .been lifted in the process and fallen on the deceased, crushing him.
The verdk-t was that deceased was accidentally killed by the fall of the door.
