THE GOVERNMENT PEOOLAWATION

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, September 0. An extraordinary Gazette was issued to-day fixing the maximum price of wheat audi Hour, to conic into operation to-anorrow, in the following terms: "1. So long as this Ordw-kn-Oouncil remains in force line maximum price of milling wheat "throughout New Zealand BliaH toe 4a Qd per bushel tree on, board on usual trade terms at the nearest iport, and in the caae of salq otherwise than free on board on the usual trade terms at nearest .port, then the maximum price shall be a price equivalent as icgarda the seller to the maximum price above mentioned.

"2. \Y'uen the nearest iport is Lvttelton, Timara or Oamomi, the maximum wholesale price of flour shall, so k>nir as tlus Order-in-Council remains in force, be £ll 15s per ton free on board on the usual trade terms at the ncaJe&t port, and in the case of sale, otherwise than free on (board on. the lusual trade terms at .nearest port, then the maximum .price shall be a price equivalent as regards the seller to tho maximiuim; pric-e above mentioned.
