Archdeacon Gould, vicar of St. Paul's Cathedral, died suddenly in Dunedin o» Sunday morning. When a servant entered the dining-room of tie vicarage at seven o'clock she was horrified to see the Archdracon lying on the floor dead, lie had evidently been sitting in a chair, and apparently feeling -unwell, he rose cither to get something for himself or to call for assistance, aid fell forward, bringing the chair over on top of him.
