BOWLING.

ELTIIAM CLUB. The annual meeting of the Eltham Bowling Club was held last Friday. The annual report, which was adopted, showed that during the year the club had played six club and four banner matches, wisning two and losing four of the former, and drawing one and losing three of the latter. It had been represented in the Taranaki tournament by two rinks, each finishing third in their section. Th: championship singles was won by Mr J. McKay, who also won the Pavilion Handicap. The Handicap Singles was won by Mr C. 11. de Launay. The Challenge Ferns were now held by Messrs McKay and F. Barnard, and the Dawes Challenge Pins by Messrs Ritter, BellingSiam, Curteis and Carman. The grcan was in good order, .and would be open for play on October 1. The following were elected officers ior the ensuing year: —President, Mr G. D. Gow; Tice-president, Mr C. Kidd; secretary and treasurer, Mr 11. G. Carman; sole selector, Mr T. C. Stanners; sole ground supervisor, Mr 11. G. Carman; committee, Messrs T. C. Stanners, J. itaKay, A. Prater, and L. N. Fairhull; delegate to Taranaki Association, Mr H. G. Carman.

The official opening of the club will take place on October 15th. Fiye new momberu were elected.
