HUGE GERMAN REINI*ORCEMENTS, TO FRANCE, VIA BELGIUM. Received 27, 5.20 p.m. Antwerp, September 2G. Amsterdam reports that great masses of German troops arc going to France, via lAix-le-Chappelle. OPEN LETTER TO THE KAISERIN. "SOLDIERS AND .NOT ASSASSINS." London, Sept. 25. A Belgian mother, who is nursing wounded soldiers, writes an open letter to the Kaiserin as follows:—"Your son Jochim, commanding an armed horde devoted to rapine, murder and bestial horrors has earned the Iron Cross amidst our tears, which we Trill dry, and our ruins, which we will restore. Thank God we can clasp our sons to our breasts knowing that they are soldiers and not assassins."
TIIE GERMAN MASSACRE. A TERRIBLE LIST. Antwerp, September 25, Careful investigations calculate that tlie Germans massacred 1500 civilians in the province of Namur, 1200 in Hainaut, 1100 in Brabant, 500 in the province of Liege, 350 in the Lemburg and Luxembourg provinces. A BIG CAPTURE OF GERMANS.
Received 27, 8.18 p.m. Rotterdam, Septem'oer 24. Eighteen hundred German prisoners were captured between Malines and Aersehot on September 23rd, and sent to England. ALLEGED 20.5 in. GUNS. London, September 25. A gentleman travelling in Belgium described two big German 52-centimetre (20.5 in) siege guns. Twenty-six traction engines were required to haul each.
