The Chairman said it was proposed to pay bonuses as usual. The dividends are G per cent, on preference and 8 per cent on ordinary shares;. Bonuses, 5 per cent, on sales and 4 per cent, on salaries. Wheat-growing had decreased for several reasons, one of the most important being . imports from Australia, where wheat flour was produced more cheaply than here. This would result in serious trouble, should Australia have, a shortage, as occasionally iiiappens. As to wool, he anticipated no local sale till January, and lower prices, as the only competitors were Bradford and the Dominion mills. The Association is paying half-salary to 10 employees who have gone to the front. The Directors had voted £,">o and the stall' £254 to the Patriotic Fund. The meeting voted £IOO to the Home and Belgian relief funds.
