LAW CRICKET CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. Tin? annual meeting of the Law Cricket Cub \va3 held in the Hon. 0. Samuel's office yesterday afternoon, presided over hy Mr. J. 11. Quilliam, the president. Ten members were present.

The fourth annual report, which was adopted, showed that the club's financial position was again very good, and the club had a fair amount of very good material on hand (including a pair of pads kindly donated by Mr. Great-batch). The flub had an enjoyable and fairly successful season. In the cup competitions too many rounds were attempted, and there were several unfinished games, hut ultimately Tikorangi were declared the winners—a position they well de•ervetl. Law finished third. Of fourteen matches played, seven were won, five lost and two unfinished. Five of the club's members gained representative honors. Referring to the need for a permanent ground being obtained, the report strongly urged the club to consider proposals both for this season's requirements and for the future, ami to support the movement for the setting up of a New Plymouth Cricket Council and the securing of Tukapa as a permanent ground for cricket. The report continued that the club's averages in batting and howling compared very favorably with those of the other competing clubs, but it was hoped that the I club would he right in the lead in every department this season. It was suggested that an evening a week should J he given solely to fielding practice, which would greatly assist the club in attain- [ ing the desired position. Eewle.V; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. Lash; auditor, Mr. S. M. Cottier; committee, Messrs R. 11. Quilliam, Elliott and Anderson, with the captain and secretory, ex officio; selection committee, Messrs A. Bcwk'vt and K. Lash; delegates to North Taranaki Cricket 'Association, Messrs Anderson and R. If. Quilliam; representative, on proposed New Plymouth Cricket Council, Mr. K. 11. Quilliam.

It was resolved to instruct the delegates to endeavor to "have file rules relating to championship matches altered, so as to allow a win on a two innings' match to count as three points.
