LONDON MARKETS. London, September 23. Wheat—Quiet and tending in buyers' favor. The visible supply ies 67,(60,000 bushels. Chicago wheat is quiet.
WEBSTER BROS. REPORT. Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday, our pens were taxed with birds of all classes. Good prices were obtained, and those who sent birds in for sale were amply repaid by the high prices ruling. We still have an unsatisfied demand for all classes of table poultry, and owners having any to dispose of should do so before prices go back. Hens, young, 2s to 2s od, fat, 2s 8d to 2s lid; cockerels, young, 2s to 2s Cd, fat, 2s 8d to 4s; pullets, (laying) 2s lOd to 3s Id; ducks, fat, 2s sil to 2s Od, purebred Indian Runners, 2s 7d; drakes, 2s 7d to 3s.
Fruit.—During Hie week very littlo fruit lias been offering. iPriecs are on on a par with the previous week's, as under, according to quality of fruit and size of cases. The new shipment of oranges and bananas arrived during the week and met with a ready sale. Bananas, green, 19s fld; lemons Is to Is 2d per doz.; passion fruit, 8s 6d per box; applies, Stunner's (clioice colored) 10a 6d to lis; Red Peannains 8s fid to 9s Od. NEW PLYMOUTH MARKETS.
