The Rand Mail describes General Botha's appointment as an answer to General Beyers and his splenetic and sanctimonious satellites.
GERMANS REPULSED. Received 24, 7.50 p.m. Nairobi, September 23. A German force which attacked a post 20 miles from the border in the Voi district, was repulsed after-sharp fighting tol an hour, leaving eight dead.
