THE EXPEDITIONARY FOBCE AUCKLAND SECTION FAREt WEtLUKD. By Telegraph.—Presa Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland section of tihe expeditionary force to tlie njumlber of 2200, assembled in tite Doninin to-day, ■whea'e, in the presence of about 24,000 people, the troops were officially farewe-lled by the Prime Minister, on behalf of the Dominion, and by Mr. Parr, Mayor, on ibehoif of tlhe city. Afterwards tHie troops marched through tite snaim ,»tTcet6, whore tihey were. eHtihiisastically cheered by large erowdfi. In tho course of a starring speech, Jut. Massey urged the men to uphold the honor of Ntew Zealand, tie patient in -tie f ac© of hardships, and brave and courageous alwiaya. THE PATRIOTIC! FUNDS; Timaru, Last Night. The Patriotic Committee to-day decided to vote £250, to be disposed of by the colonels of repiments of tne expeditionary force. The question of falling in with tho Manawafcu scheme wag held over.
