■ MATHEWS, GAMLIIN AND OO.'S REPORT. Matthews, Garmlin amd 00. report a good yarding of stock in their liiglo'wood yards last Wednesday. AH classes were well competed for, and' practically everything yarded was sold at the hammer at the following prices:—Springing, heifers £5 to £7 2s Gd; small and joor heifers £3 to £4 ss; springing cows, £5 6s to £8 15s; store cows (good demand), £4 5s to £4 17s; for'ward do., £5 5s to £5 16s; empty heifers, £J lis to £3; 20. mios. steers, £3 18e; yearling do. H; yearling heif,ens, 30s to £2 3s; Ibulla, 30s to £2 ss; no grown bulls offering.

ADDINGTON. At Addington there were medium entries of fat stock and a fair attendance. Store sheep were in good demand, especially young sheep, there being a rise in the price of hoggets. Fat cattle showed an advance of 2s 6d per lOQlb. Owing to competition by export buyers, the fat sheep sale opened at an advance of Is to Is fld on the opening prices of last week, and after the market had firmed further prices eased off.

Store sheep—Good forward hoggets 14s 6d to 14s lid, very medium hoggets 13, 4 and 6-tooth wethers (forward) 17s Id, cull wethers lis Bd, best ewes to 245, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 17s, aged ewes lis 0(1 to 25s 3d, extra prime ewes to 32s 9d, prime ewes 22s 6d to 28s fad, others 19s 9d to 225, merino ewes 19s 2d, hoggets 16s 3d to 23a 9d.

'Fat pigs—Choppers 70s to 120s, heavy baconers 70s to 755, extra heavy baeoners to 80s, ordinary baconers 55s to 03s (price per lb ud). Large porkers 40s to 50s, ordinary porkers 46s to 50s, ordinary porkers 38s to 45s (price per lb O'/jd to B%d). Store pigs—Large stores 32s to 39b, medium stores 28s to 31s, small storea 18s to 275, weaners 15s to 18s.

BURNSIDE. At Burnside the yarding of cattle consisted of 200 head, of which a considerable portion was good to prime qualitybullocks, and taken as a whole the yarding was above the average. The sale opened firm at last week's rates, but owing to the operations of freezing buy. ors, although operating, were not buyto the extent of lfls to 15s per head. Prime bullocks fetched £l4 10s to £lB 17s fid, medium £l2 10 a to £l4, light £9 10s to £ll 10s, prime cows and heifers £lli 10s to £l3 ss, medium to good £9 10s to £lO 10s, light and aged i £0 10s to £S 10s.

Pigs—There was a small entry of fats and a moderate yarding of stores. The demand for porkers and baeoners was keen, and all sold at satisfactory prices. Good stores and slips also met with a fair sale, while the few suckers forward found buyers at prices somewhat in advance of last week's congested market.
