Wellington, Lan NighD, While- the ferry steamer Cobar waa being berthed this morning at tHie ferry wharf, having just ibrougiht a number of passengers from Day's Bay, she collided with the coal hulk Gertie, moored just ahead of the Cellar's berth. The Cobar cannoned off the Gertie on to the wool jetty, and in basking away ner stern struck the ferry wharf, carrying away a. pile and some waling*. The Cobar's stem was slylrt.lv splintered, tat the damage to tihe ferry wharf wilt probably amount to £BO 0 r £9O. The passengers on the steamer were momentarily excited, but mhou calmed down.
