There has been some lighting in the Cameroons (south of Nigeria). Throe British officers have been killed, four wounded, and four are missing. They all belonged to the Nigeria Regiment. Nothing lias hecit published beyond the casualty list. TROOP TRAIN DERAILED. Capetown, September 11, A colonial troop train was derailed at the Ilex River 'Pass. It capsized over an embankment. Three men were killed and a number injured. Five hundred Kaffranian Rilles were on the train, which at dusk was crawling down a steep winding pass, when the engine left the rails on a curve. Ten coaches followed, and toppled 20ft. Thirteen were killed. Tremendous efforts are being made to clear the line, which is a single one, as 10 urgent trains en route to Capetown are held up. Six sticks of gelignite were found in a shaft at the Luipaard Solei Mine. The shaft is now guarded nnd nil German and Austrian miners have been discharged. .

The casualties at Karonga included three planters killed, three wounded, and one missing. The Government steamer shelled Langenburg, and captured the place unopposed. (Blantyre is the principal mission station in Xyasalandj named after Livingstone's 'birthplace. Langonberg is a tierman town on the northern end of Lake Xvasa.)
