The Senate figures have reached a stag*' at -which they are unlikely to alter much. Two Liberals, Messrs Gould and Millen, arc apparently safe in New fioutk 'Wales; but the third, Mr Oakes. looks like being defeated. Two Liberals ihavef;ood chances, with a possible third, in; Tasmania. In South Australia the Lib-? eral tops the poll, but other Liberals are out of the running. In other states the Laborites have strong leads. On the? present showing the Senate will consist of 31 Laborites and five Liberals.
