The smash and its consequences are said to lie most vividly shown. The present film is the first to present an actual collision. Two fully-equipped trains were purchased, and a special line of railway was built on land bought for the purpose. Tile entire cost of the remarkable elTect attained is stated at well over £IO,OOO. After the impact engines anil carriages were, of course, reduced to wreckage. The story is described as being brimful of interest, whibt the acting is paid to be much beyond the ordinary. Another subject of distinction and particular interest just now is "Mexican War IPictuTes." This film, made and completed at the front, only arrived by the last mail. It (rives a vivid idea of actual warfare.
