VIEWS OF SECONDARY ASSISTANTS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 2. ' The annual meeting uf the Secondary •Schools' Assistant!*' Association was held to-day, Air. F. 11. A. Campbell, Otago High School, presiding. The atinuaJl .report strongly oivticisrd the Education Bill, which it stated: was a comparative' failure. Several (resolutions urging amendments to clauses dealing with 'salaries were adopted, also the following motion: ••That in view of serious financial strest; ihivt must necessarily result from the war, this meeting of secondary schools' assistants is strongly of opinion that any clause,-* 1 in the Education Bill involving increased expenditure should not hoc'ume. operative until one year after the declaration of peace."
