Bucharest messages state that Austrian were defeated in Galicia, and colossal trains were transporting tens and thousands of wounded. Numerous regiments were destroyed, and the Landwehr and Landsturm are replacing them. The Roumanian General Staff has declared that this battle will be found decisive. London, September 1. The Daily News' correspondent in Rome reports that the Austrians have lost 20,000 men in Galicia.
