Turkey's Attitude.
TURKEY'S MOBILISATION. OXLY iA PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE. WHY THOSE GERMAN OFFICERS? Received 2, fi.4o p.m. Washington, September 2. The Turkish Ambassador announced that the Turkish army was mobilised three weeks ago, but this was merely a precautionary measure, Turkey had no intention of aiding Germany. The British Embassy has been informed that O.rniaii officers have gone to Turkey with .the object 01 inciting Turkey to declare war.
It is reported here that the British Government is intending to ask the United States to take over the British interests at Constantinople'.

The officers going to Constantinople are reported to be the Turkish officers who went to England to take over the two battleships building for Turkey, but which Britain retained.
