Wellington, Last Night. A serious accident befell a young ni«a named) John Phillips yesterday afternoon. He was employed delivering meat for Mr. H. L. Bry.enton, ulf RiddMord .street, and was remounting his .cart after serving' a customer in Daniel street, when be slipped to the ground l . Before lie could obtain control of hishorse the wheel of the can passed- ove* bis bead, breaking both h<m, and in•flicting other injuries. Phillips, who is a single man, was removed to tbe hospital, and is reported to-.lny to be ill a very low condition.
