HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENT.
FOOTBALL. This afternoon, the High. School tournament will be advanced a further stage, When; New Plymouth and Napier schools will meet. This should produce a fine struggle, as the Napier team, a very heavy one, is considered the best that the school 'hat* ever sent out. Should New Plymouth wsn to day they will secure the shield, which is at present held by Patoerston North, who annexed it two" years ago. Last year's tournament proved! inaonjlusive, as each team won and lost a match. A small charge of 6d will be made for admission to the Becreation Ground, and the proceed® will be devoted to the Taranaki infantrymen's fund. The New Plymouth .High School will 1 be represented 'by tlhe same team as did battle oil Thursday. The following will represent Napier:— Full-back: Murphy. Three-quarters: Mills, Dighton, Gregory. < \ Five-eighths: Dean, FrankUii (oapt.) Half: Findlay. Wing: Jaekson. Forwards: Holland, Widersiremi, Fenwiek, E,. Martin-Smith, Jones, P. Mar-tin-Smith, Ennor, SHOOTING. This morning the three schools will engage in a triangular shooting eompetition at tlie Waiwakaiho range. The match will be "uiidor "Schools of the Empire" conditions, viz., eight men aside, seven shots, at each ol tire 200 and 500 yards ranges. THE vIOUNTAIN T TKU 1 . Yesterday the visiting ' boys were taken for' a picnic to tlw mountain. In all, some hundred made the trip, and a very enjoyable time was spent. Some of the boys climbed &f far as Humphrey's castle, whilst glisstwMng on the ice was a popular pastime.
