The Imprest Supply Bill, Nj. 3, passed through all' ita stages without amendment. The I'ub'.ie Bodits Leases Bill was read a second time, without debate. The Oouncil went into committee upon the Master and Apprentice Bill, which was reported without any important amendments. The Council rose at 3 o.ui.

The Public sFunds for Local Works, Whnngorei lla.rbor Empowering Bill, Hauraikii Plains Act- Amendment, and wore .read a third time and ;>;Lssed. The Qmftunga Harbor Bill was read a iirst tn»e. Thy Hon. Fisher moved {he second leading of Ihe National Pro >'. cent Fund Amendment Bill. He pointed out that fhe Bill was designed to encourage those who were willing and an.vioiw to make provision for themselves. Local bodies were given the opportunity to subsidise premiums paid by their employees. There was 110 desire to interfere with ih-> good work done by friendly societies. " The Bill was read a second time. The Customs Amendment Ball was read a second time, without debate. JSon. F. M, B. Fisher moved the second reading of the Fire Brigades Amendment Bill, which was agreed to without debate. The Bouse rose at 9.5 p.n.
