The small German detachments wluvh occupied frontier towns in Poland are rapidly vanishing. Kalisz is a .heap of ruins, with dead bodies of the inhabitants strewing the streets. TILSIT TAKEN*. (Tilsit is a large town in the extreme north-oast of Eastern Prussia, on the river Memel, not far from the frontier).
