The committee in charge ot the East End Pavilion have every caus» to be gratihed at tne result of the fancy dress ban held 1 there last night,. when Mi« lia.il, which had been beautifully deseorao ed for tlie dtcasion with llaga, Chinese lanterns, and colored electric glofoes, wa,j packed with dancers, who thoroughly enjoyed the excellent roojic provided by Mil's. George's orencstra, and as many of them were in fancy tfress tlw scene was most brilliant ami eil'ective. An excellent suppcv was provided by Messrs Lealand Bras., the tables being profusely decorated with flowers and ferns, and Messrs Bolton and Revcll, the efficient M.'sC., did tl.eir best to n ake tlie atlair go "with a good swing—and they succeeded admirably. The following gained prizes for, their costumes: — Ladies: Best dressed, Miss Ji..- Ross (Night) 1, Miss A. Revcll (.Moonlight) i. Most original, Airs, ltcebuefc' (billiards). Gents: Best dressed, Mr. O. knight (.Mexican); most m<giD.il, M'r. ih'.tehcns (McpaLstopnel ■'■?). It in expected that there will be a j.smn of about £lO to .t::ind over to the I Patriotic J-'uncl.
