The Galician was allowed to proceed after the wireless apparatus had been wrecked. BRITISH AND GERMAN TORIPEDOERS. British Losses. Received 27, 11.55 p.m. Sydney, August 27. A Reuter message, via New York, dated the'evening of the 26th, reads:— Pekin, 27th.—The British lost 11 i killed and wounded on August 24 in- a j torpedo-boat fight with Germans off | Tsingtau.
