TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MKETTN'G. Tin- monthly meeting of the Taranai;i Land Hoard was hold } esterday. Present: Mcsrs G. H. liullard (chairman), Coxlead, Ryan and Jones. Notification was received of the appointment of Mr. W. W. Jones as a member of the Land Board in pursuance of section 41 of the Land Act, 1008. —Received. The chairman and members congratulated Mr. Jones. Notification was also received of the election o. Mr. C. J. Ryan as a member of the Board, he having received the greatest number of valid votes at a poll taken on July 25, 1914.—Received, and Mr. Ryan welcomed. ALTERATION OF SECTION BOUNDARIES, i It was resolved to approve of alteration of areas of sections in Ngatimaru, Malioe and Pouatu S.D. in. connection with lands taken for railway purposes .(Stratford-Tc Koura line). It was resolved to approve of alterations of areas of «ctions 1 and *2, block 3, and sections 2 and 3, block 4, Totoro S.D., in connection with the Te Aualii road deviation. APPOINTMENT OF ARBITRATORS. It was resolved 'to appoint the Cani.missioner of Crown Lands arbitrator for the Land Board in lieu of Mr. H. T. Twiss (resigned from the service) in connection with the valuations for renewals of the following Education Reserve leases expiring on June 30, 1915: Sections 1693, 1618, New Plymouth (M. Webber); sections 13, 14, New Plymouth (H. Brown and Co.); seotion 10, New Plymouth (W. <F. McAUum). It was also resolved to appoint Mr. E. IA. Meredith, Crown Lands Ranger, Arbitrator for the Land Board in lieu of Mr H. T. Twiss, resigned from the service, in connection with the valuations for renewals of the following Education Reserve leases, expiring on June 30, ltfia:—Soction 3, Huirangi Town Belt (L. G. Andrews); section 1, Tikorangi Town Belt (F. and E. Vickery); section 2, Huirangi Town Belt ('F. Y. Andrews). I SUB-LEASES. Jno. Eoutlcy, lessee of L.P. section 100, block 10, Ngacre S.D. (206 acres), applied to sub-lease to Wm. Chas. Hodgson for five years from August 1, 1.014. Proposed transferee was landless.—lt was resolved to approve. Geo. Wenlock, lessee of sections 20, 27, 28, block 11, Ngaere S.D. (30 acres), applied to sub-let to Arthur Parkinson for three years from August 1, 1014, with a compulsory purchasing clause. All conditions had been complied with, and proposed sublessee was landless. —It was resolved to approve. Sidney Medcalf, lessee of part section 107, block 2, Ngaere S.D. (46 acres), applied to sublet to R. H. and F. Kemp for four years from August 1. 1(914. Conditions had been complied with, and the application was approved. | Messrs H. Halliwell and Wm. Robertson (trustees in Jas. D. Young's estate) applied to sublet E.R. section 17, block 3, Waimate S.D., to Daniel Hennessy for a term of seven years from July 1, 1014. —Resolved to approve, subject to tho usual conditions. Arthur W. Wood, lessee of L.P. sections 12 and 13, block 3. Omona S.D., applied to sub-lease to Geo. H. Steele. Area, 382 a.. lr. l!)p.—Approved, subject to all papers boing in order. T. McCarthy, lessee of L.P. subsection 2 of soction 46, Mock 11, Ngaere S.D., applied to sub-lease to T. J. McCarthy (son).—lipproved. TRANSFERS. I Transfers were dealt with as folI lows: I Jas.
