To-morrow, on the Now Plymouth 'Recreation Sports Ground, the Tara'naki representotives will be called on for the fifth time this seaaor. to defend' the Ranfurly Shield, the challengers this* time being the Southland touring team*. The Taranaki team has had good practice l&telv, and will be strengthened to; morrow. The round is in excellent condition, and a fast gamie may confidently be expected. The. Taranaki team is as follows: — Backs: Cameron, Stohr, C. Wllittington, Loveridge, Roberts, Colraan, Brown. ' Forwards: Taylor, H. Whittington, Cain, Kisairfc, Young, Ruborl'fon, Paul, Patterson. Emergencies: Back, George; forward. ' Bornsten. i THE SOUTHLAND TEAM. The Southland plavcrs are enjoying their stay in New Plym>r:nrt;h, and are doing solid 1 work. Yesterday morning they put in practice on the Sports Ground, and had an exercise tramp, afterwards taking hot saltwater baths n-t the municipal baths. Owing to the war, some of the originally selected team Were unable to make the trip, and of tjie team whiclh met. Wellington last Saturday several members had not played for about five weeks, and were consequently eore after the match.
