A Cruiser Sunk
DETAILS OF TIIE ZENTA DISASTEP,, AUSTRIANS' POOR GUNNERY. Received 2il, 11 p.m. Rome, August 24. The newspaper Comoro della Sera publishes details of the sinking of the Austrian cruiser Zenta. The torpedoera sighted the Zenta and three smaller vessels doing blockade duty off Cattara. They opened fire on them, and tore holes in the Zcnta's sides 1 he Zenta replied at long intervals, but the shots went wide of the mark. The Austrian torpedoers also fired. An English torpedoer went alongside., sinking the cruiser and rescuing 200, of whom 50 subsequently died of injuries.
