[ RAHOTU. | (From Our Own Correspondent.) | The patriotic concert which took place in the H;.ii on Wednesday nin'bt was a very great, success. Tile Hall wa< packed. The chairman (Mr T. I'. Jlu.rl,son), in his opening addrcKs, said 1 the large, attendance showed they wci" patriotic and cued be re'ied on to iiel-* the Mother Country in time of stress. The committee had gone to a. great, deal of trouble in providing a gooil entertni'imorn. They had been very successful, having been able t:, draw up a. programme wit:!t oyer twenty items.. He then called on Hughson to open with a pianoforte solo, "BaUtle of Prague.'' Fea-thcrstcue, and' the chainii.ri. A vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Green to the committee, performe":. teachers and children, aiso the bachelors for supplyiii/r snmpLaoiis supper.
