AUSTRIANS IN RETREAT. Received 28, 10.20 a.m. St. Petersburg, August 22 The Austrians are retreating along the Drina. They abandoned rich booty and 40 guns, mostly Howitzers, and ammunition, field hqspitals, and kitchens. Received 23, 5.5 p.m. N'ish, August 23. Reports from Nich state that the Loznitza battle lasted for four days, and that 25,000 Austrians were killed and \vonnded_ T ( t:n thousand prisoners wera taken. Trainloads of wounded are arriving at Vienna. AUSTRIANS REPULSED. ALL ALONG THE LINE. : Received 22, 5 20 p.m. London, August 22. The Nisli correspondent of the Mail reports that the Servians continue to repulse the Austrians all along the line. Artillery destroyed this Austrian storehouses in Moldova (north of the Danube). Five ships were fired and a sixth (Bevf.ral launches and boats were destroyed.
