The Veedee Scores.
THE GREAT DEMONSTRATION. The l b. .itrr Royal was well filled on Thur&uay wuea tne V eetlee Specialists i-'uvr their promised Free Public i*or some time past iii.i.:v local sufferers had been looking fon.,inl io this ueinoiiStraiion, for the faiue of the Veedee had preceded it, and all were anxious to see for themsclv't whether it could really do the thiiii,> that are claimed for it. Thus, i i was an expectant crowd that rolled up to see the Veedee in action, and it included many unfortunate sufferers wlu> had sought in vain for some relief for. their troubles. Promptly at eight o'clock'the Veedee Specialists appeared on the platform, and were warmly greeted bv the audience. THE VEEDEE. Procewiings were opened by Mr. A. B. Scott, the general manager of the Veedee's New Zealand tour, who mentioned in a few well-chosen words what are the objects which the Veedee Specialists .sivk to obtain. Mr. Scott explained thai the Veedee has been shown in all the principal cities of the world within the last few years, and most recently in Dunedin, Christchurch, and Wellington, and thai, everywhere it had left behind a phenomenal record of successful cures. He emphasised the fact that the Veedee had Deen imitated in many wavs, but that nevertheless it still stands to-day in the same position which it won when first invented eleven years ago—namely, as the only effective and practical vibrator in the world. All other would-be vibrators, pulsators, blood-circulators, etc., had imitated the Veedee in everything except its power to cure. The reason for this is not far to seek, as the Veedee is the only adjustable vibrator in existence, and this adjustability tells in itself the story of tho Veedee's success. Mr. Scott gave a very apt illustration bv explaining that it was "just as necessary that the power and force of vibration should be exactly related to suit each particnlar complaint, each particular case, each particular patient, as it is necessary that a pair of field-glasses should be exactly regulated to snit the eyesight of the person using them. As this adjustability does, not appear in any other machine, it therefore follows that the Veedee is the only vibrator of any curative valtte. | .Some slides were then thrown on the, screen, showing testimonials from snch well-known people as "Snowy" Baker, Father Robinson, of Camberwell, Victoria. Madame Melba, her Majesty the Oueen of Spain, ex-Attorney-General tinghps. C. B. Fry, tho famous English cricketer, Lord Roberts, General Baden-Powell, and many others equally well known. THE LECTURE. Professor W. T. Wright, the Veedee Specialist and Expert, who came ont from England especially to tour Australasia and lecture on vibration, was then introduced. He was .given a hearty reception by the now deeplyinterested audience. Professor Wright, in a scholarly and carefully-worded address, proceeded to elucidate the principles of curative vibration. ' For the -benefit of the hearers he explained, and later illustrated by means of some most interesting and unique slides/how by applying Vibration to any given nerve at its origin in the spine, it is possible to bring about a healthy condition in the organ controlled by that particular nerve. By stimulating tho controlling nerve, the energy is transmitted to the organ itself, which, in its turn, is induced to fulfil its proper functions. In any case where sluggish .circulation, or nervous or functional disorders exist, the use of the Veedee is indicated, for one of the important accomplishments of the Veedee is its power of stimulation. By increasing the blood-circulation and thus bringing a greater flow of nourishment to any particular part of the body, its action strengthens and re-vitaliscs this particnlar part, and at the same time the increased blood-flow carries away any waste matter which may have accumulated. In connection with such complaints as rheumatism and gout, for example, the Veedee slowly but surety breaks down the deposits of uric acid which have accumulated around the joints, and renders it pqssible for them to be carried away by the blood, and discharged out of the system through the kidneys in the ordinary way. In the same way deafness, unless caused by actual injury through accident or other similar cause, yields readily to the influence of the Veedee, which, by increasing the circulation around the ear, dispels the congestion, which haß been preventing the ear-drum from properly vibrating and thus reproducing sound. Professor Wright also quoted several of the highest authorities on the question of millers' phthisis, who are agreed that the best, and, in fact, only preventive of this dread disease is Nature itself. If one can keep the system free from noxious substances, and the circulation good, Nature will do the rest. This is where the Veedee comes in. It increases tho circulation of the blood, induces a good healthy anpetite, and keeps the body in a condition to resist the ravages of disease. All Professor Wright's remarks were well illustrated by means of the slides, and made a deep impression on the audience. PLATFORM CASES. Cases were then called for treatment on the platform, and a number of aced and middle-aged men responded. Many limped nilrfidlv nlnntr with the aid of

sticks, and several were on crutches. Others had complaints not outwardly visible, such as deafness, stiff shoulders, etc. The machines were set to work, operated by Professor Wright and a nurse. The first case treated was that of Mr. W. Symonds, of Fitzroy. Mr. Symonds is an old-standing victim of Rheumatism, and it was very slowly and painfully indeed that he walked along the stage. The Veedee was put to work on his limbs, and in a very few minutes a noticeable improvement was evident. He had greater freedom in his movements. Mr. W. Randies, of Waitara, then submitted himself for treatment. This gentleman's trouble is Sciatica, from which he has suffered for thirteen years. All the usual symptoms were in evidence, and Mr. Randies hobbled painfully along with the help of his stick. The little Veedee came to the rescue, however, and it was not many minutes before Mr. Randies was able to walk without his stick, and •ho smilingly bowed his acknowledgments to the applause of the audience. A most interesting case was that of Mr. A. Simonds, of Bulteel Street. This young man was unable to lift his arm above his but the "little steel doctor" soon remedied his trouble. Amidst enthusiastic applause he soon threw his arm right above his head, and stated that he was amazed at the relief brought about in such a short space of time. The audience, by now deeply interested, were eagerly looking forward to each fresh case. The Crowd Cheer. A case wliich brought forth a storm of loud and prolonged applause from the delighted onlookers was one of Sciatica. Air. A. Kalchert, of Bulteel Street, prior to treatment could neither kneel down nor lift his foot on to the seat of a chair. The Veedee once again proved its worth, and the patient was able to perform both these feats with ease after treatment. Mr. E. Cossey, a rheumatic sufferer, was another man who could not lift his arms above his shoulders. He tried several times, but could not. The machine was put to work on his arms and shoulder, and in less than five minutes he was vigorously waving both arms over his head. The audience voiced their appreciation of this remarkable result in no uncertain manner. A deaf caso was next attempted. Mr. Tastro was tested, and it was found "that he could not distinguish a sound even when shouted at. quite close to his ears. His was a bid case, as the deafness had been coming on for years. The Veedee, however, was able to do some good, for after treatment he was able to distinguish some words. Of course, in a case such as this, continued treatment for a certain length of time is necessary before real imjwovement is shown, but nevertheless the progress made in a short time was noticeable. Another. Sciatica i)atient was Mr. George M'Leod, whose right leg troubles him very much. The treatment ;_ r ave him much freer movement, and he was able to get along freo from pain. A number of other patients suffering from a variety of complaints were alßo taken during the course of tho evening, but space does not permit of their being described in detail. Suffice to say that throughout all- the proceedings, patients and onlookers alike seemed well pleased with the efforts of tho Veedee Specialists. At the close of the demonstration a number of people made appointments for free treatment at the local Veedee ! Institute. VEEDEE IN NEW PLYMOUTH. Last night's Theatre Royal demonstration proved conclusively to the onlookers that the genuine Veedee is a | truly wonderful little instrument for the [ alleviation of pain and the curing of disease. There are, however, thousands of unfortunate people who are enduring useless suffering through being ignorant of tho existence of this marcellous machine. and it is with the object of reaching such of these as livo in New Plymouth and its surrounding districts that the Veedee Specialists have opened new and luxurious premises in New Plymouth, in charge of one of the Veedee experts, where all sufferers will be treated free of charge. Anyone can come to the Veedee Institute and feel perfectly confident that they will not be advised to purchase a machine unless, in the opinion of the Specialists, it can do them good. FREE TREATMENT. All sufferers from such painful complaints as rheumatism, lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia, constipation, piles, goitre, liver and kidney troubles, paralysis, deafness, gout, arthritis, stiff limbs and joints, insomnia, asthma, nervous debility, locomotor ataxia, and general debility and loss of powers, should, therefore, not fail to come to the Veedee Institute, where they will be given a free consultation and treatment, and if their caso will yield to Veedee methods, they will have the. opportunity of purchasing a machine. The Veedee is essentially an instrument for home use, and is so simple in operation that no one carefully following the printed directions can fail to get good results. If you cannot come to the Institute, then write for full particulars, sent post free; but come to the Institute if you can, for no amount of description can hope to be one-half as convincing; as an actual trial of'the Veedee itself.
