Tli'r flavor 01 Linsmean, near Tirlewood, officially reports that soawp German hussars, officer Avas shot l>v a Belgian patrol, accused civilians of shooting him. They shot two villagers a* spies, murdered a man and hii* wife, ignited their Ihonie, and' czist their bodies into the llaine*. Tlvey shot three others. Finally thov tied a number to mitrailleuses by their t'eel and dragged tiiem along with their heads on the ground, eight of them, flying. They also shot, several "with revolvers, blowing <clf their ears. Received '2l. li.o p.m. l'ariw. August 21. It is ollieially stated that the Germans murdered eleven person* at .Ikidonvillers. including the Mayor's wife. They ihuvned seventy-eight houses and killed live people at Jiremeuil. including a rmtii ami a woman aged 74.
