THE ARMY UNRELIABLE. FOOD IS SCARCE, AND FEELKG BITTER. (Times anil Sydney Sun Services.) Ixindon, August 20. Travellers from Trieste declare that the situation in Austria is grave. There is a general scarcity of food. The mobilisation -is completed, 'but the authorities are afraid to move the troops on account of internal dissensions. St. [Petersburg, August 20. The Ivied correspondent of the Novoe Vremya states that letters from Bohemia assert that during reprisals following the uprising of Prague, the finest monuments in the city were destroyed and the shops pillaged l>y Austrians. A further uprising two days later was followed by further reprisals. ( SOPS FDR SMALLER STATES. AUSTRIA WOULD BU Y SUPPORT. ( Vienna, August 20. It is stated that Austria has promised, in return for assistance, to cede to Roumania all the Servian territory occupied by the Roumanians. To' Bulgaria she had offered Macedonia, and to the Albanians all the Albanian territory in Scrvia's occupation. ' A MIDNIGHT ATTACK. COSSACKS SURPRISED AND DEFEATED.
