Sir,—With reference to the local par appearing in a Tecent issue of vhe News regarding an accident to myself, I de- ! sire to say thtvt the statements made are r.ot according to facts. In the first plaice, though, through my carelessness, I capsized the trap and was thrown out. I was not rendered unconscious, nor did I lay in such state on the road. In, trying to assist my horse to his feet I received a terrific kick on The ankle, w'hlieh has disabled me for s<ftne .time. In view of the muimeroils enquiries I ask you to insert t'his, and' I sirould like to impress upon certain individuals gifted with the habit of "drawing the lons bow,'' that there isi nothing to be gained 'by distorting facts to siuit a 'petty spiteful nature, Whidh', I am sorrv to say, exists in a large number in this district.—l am, etc., JOE B.
