The Premier stated yesterday that the transports for the expeditionary force would be ready at the end of the month, hut no particulars would he given as to when the arrangements would be completed. CENSORSHIP RESTRICT I OXS. Wellington. August 21. The censorship announces that the restriction on the publication of the movements of shipping between Australia and New Zealand is now removed. This does not apply to other ocean shipPiag. THE TROOPSHIP- CREWS. 'Wellington, Friday. The socretiiry of the Seamen's Union states that the men sign on the troopships under Admiralty,conditions, drawn up as regards pa.y and. overtime accord- : ing to the New Zealand agreement. This is minfit to their advantaga if they [ worked previously under Borne articles. Plenty of men are offering to mu n jilie troopships, but there is a- big scarcity of .men for trading ships, including the ftrry steamers. NOTES. Mr. Coll is, who on Saturday last photographed fhosc who took {iart in the sale of violete, tag offered -to give half the -proceeds from the sale of the photos to the Patriotic Fund. The young ladies selling violets at the rep. football matcih on Thursday afternoon on behalf of tfnte Patriotic Fund, did good 'business, the proceeds amounting tof 7 10s.
