The Times' naval correspondent, while eulogising the courage and personnel of the Austrian fleet, says France has a greater number of ships and would be sure of success if she attempted to destroy the Austrians or lock them up in the Adriatic. The Government informed the Austrian Ambassador that in consequence of Austrian troops menacing France, England was obliged to announce a state of war with Austria. Paris, August 13. A state of war exists with Austria since midnight. ANOTHER ROD FOR AUSTRIA'S BACK. REPRESSION OF SLAVS. WHO WILL DOUBTLESS TURN. London, August 13. It is reported that the Austrians are ruthlessly repressing Slav disaffection in the various provinces. A number of Czech soldiers were publicly sthot in the Square,at Prague, also all the leading Slav representatives for Dalmatia in the Austrian Parliament were summarily shot. TWO FRONTIERS ATTACKED. SERVIA AND RUSSIA. MAKE CONCERTED MOVE ON AUSTRIA. Received 14, 8.25 p.m. Athens, August, 13. The Russian Legation states that the concentration of Russians on the Ga'.ician (Austrian) frontier has been completed, and an offensive movement is imminent to coincide with the Servian advance along the line of the Danube.
