One of the prisoners rode seventy kilometres. The method is to ride in small parties with the object of seizing the passages of the Mouse. None of the attempts have succeeded. London, August 10 (morning). Two Austrian army corps are proceeding to the assistance of the Germans on the Rhine. One corps has readied Basle and the other Lake Constance. Tl)e Grand Duke of Tuscany commands the 14th army corps which has been withdrawn from the Tyrol to prevent sending it against Scrvia. The corps will proceed from Basle to Istein, where the Germans are encamped. The G-erman pontoon bridge over the Meuse was shot away. The 19th and 25th Regiments, who were supporting the bridge-builders, wetfe mown down by quickfiring guns. Forty thousand Belgian volunteers have offered their services and ,have been formed into twenty special 'regiments. BOMBARDMENT OF MONTENEGRO. EXCITING ANGER IN ITALY. Received 12. 1.35 a.m. London, August 11 (morning). The news of the Austrian bombardment of the 'Montenegrin coast is exciting anger in Italy. The irritation is .the more significant as Austria is denuding tlrts- Italian frontier of troops in order to assist against France in Lorraine.
