In London three thousand arc enlisting daily for the expeditionary force, and it is expected that Lord Kitchener's first batch of 100,000 men will be obtained much sooner than was anticipated. The percentage of unfit has fallen roni tlu'rtv to well under twenty, owing to the excellent class enlisting. Lord Islington has replaced Lord Emmott as Under-Secretary for the Colo-,, niea. I'/. C.iri>M:iVr Addison has replaced Mr. Kuneiman as President of the Board of Agriculture. The Admiralty informed the Lord Mayor of Birmingham that tlie cruiser Birmingham sank the submarine Uls.
